Two Beer and Wine Licenses on Hold

According to a report issued by the North End/Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA) Zoning, Licensing and Construction Committee report two beer and wine requests by local businesses have been rejected without prejudice because licenses were not available at the time. Volle Nolle Restaurant, 351 Hanover Street and Cafe L’il Italy, 178 Salem Street.

Both NEWRA and NEWNC voted in favor of Volle Nolle Restaurant’s request for the license and both groups opposed Cafe L’il Italy’s requests

The owners can reapply at any time, but a new application will require a new round of community review by NEWRA and NEWNC.

The Board of Appeal has scheduled a hearing for Tuesday, August 9 at City Hall in Room 801 to discuss a request by Ale Yagcioglu, El Triunfo Restaurant, 69 Prince Street to add take out to the business license. NEWNC has supported the request which will be on NEWRA’s agenda next meeting.
