Mary Pucillo

Of Everett, formerly of the North End

Mary (Maduri) Pucillo of Everett, formerly of Boston’s North End, died on June 26.

She was the beloved mother of Richard Pucillo of Revere and his late wife Joanne Pucillo; loving grandmother to three grandchildren and loving great-grandmother to three great-grandchildren; dear sister of Sam Maduri of New Hampshire, Catherine Pagliuca of the North End, Teresa Rizzari of the West End, the late Joseph Maduri and Helen Regnetta; devoted daughter of the late Panteleone and Rosaria (Visconi) Maduri and is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were by the Dello Russo Funeral Home, Medford. Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. To send a message of condolence www.dellorusso.net

Alfred Carpenito

Owned Yankee Boy Tomato and Banana Co.

Alfred Carpenito of Medford died on June 25.

A US Army veteran of World War II, he was the  proprietor of Yankee Boy Tomato and Banana Co.

He was the beloved husband of the late Mary (Genovese); loving father of Marybeth Mercier of Medford; cherished grandfather of Jonathan Alfred Mercier of Medford; dear brother of Alice Pagliuca and Ernest Carpenito, both of the North End, and the late Mary Santaniello, John, Phil, George, Carmen, Julia and Louise Carpenito. He is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were by the Dello Russo Funeral Home, Medford. Burial was at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Giovanni DiMascio

Of Medford, formerly of the North End

Giovanni DiMascio of Medford, formerly of the North End of Boston, died on June 26.

He was the beloved husband of Irma (Indiciani); devoted father of Ivana Gentile and her husband, Joe, Domenic DiMascio and his wife, Debbie, all of Carlisle, Anna Walsh and her husband, Tim, of Westford, Erica Day and her husband, Calvin, of Bedford; loving grandfather of Matthew, Daniel, Chloe, Eric, Jayna, Colin, Stella and Austin; brother of Antonio DiMascio and Emilia Monaco, both of Venezuela.

Catherine ‘Dolly’ Parziale-Leo

Member of Parziale’s Bakery Family

Catherine “Dolly” Parziale-Leo, formerly of the North End, Somerville, West Peabody and Florida, died peacefully on June 10 after a brief illness. She was 93 years old.

She was the devoted wife of the late Sabatino Leo with whom she shared 57 years of marriage; beloved daughter of Guiseppe and Anna Parziale of Parziale’s Bakery of the North End which is still operating, now in the 5th generation and Parziale’s Pizzeria of Texas.

“Dolly” worked lovingly in the family business until her marriage in 1947 and was loved and respected by everyone who knew her.

She was the loving sister of Edith Rossi-Borje and her husband, Joseph Borje of California, Helen and husband David DelloIacono of Weymouth Heights, and her late brothers, Vincent and his wife, Mary, Salvatore and his, wife Carmela (living), Angelo and wife, Beatrice, Romeo and wife Mary (living) and late sisters, Corinne DellaPaolera of California and Anna Seifert of Malden. She was the very beloved aunt of Roberta McDonnell and family and many more loving nephews and nieces and their extended families.

Her last year of life was spent at Nature Coast Assisted Living in Lecanto, Florida and the family thanks everyone there for their loving care, also to Pastor Brosseau for all his help. Catherine “Dolly” played the piano beautifully by ear and would occasionally play for the residents. She was admired and appreciated. Dolly, Auntie Dolly will be sadly missed by all of us.

Our thanks to nephews, John Parziale, and his wife, Cheryl, and Steven Leo for being there for her services and burial which was entrusted to Robert’s Funeral Home of Dunnellon, Florida. A Memorial Mass or Service will be held at a later date.
