White Hen Pantry, Hanover Street seeks Beer and Wine 7-Day Package License.

White Hen Pantry, 342 Hanover Street, owner Daniel M. Costa is seeking a beer and wine package license from the Licensing Board for the City of Boston.

Costa has been the owner and operator of the small retail business for almost 15 years.

The store offers quality, reasonably priced food and merchandise to local residents and tourists.

White Hen Pantry sells Italian food products, household items, pantry items, newspapers, magazines and much more. The store also provides Lottery services.

The petition reads:

Dan Costa has been the owner and operator of this very popular White Hen Pantry for almost 15 years and has run a very successful and responsible business without any problems during that time. He has been a welcome addition to the neighborhood offering everything from traditional Italian food products, household items, pantry items, newspapers and magazines and other supplies to the neighborhood who do their one stop shopping at the store. As patrons, we believe that having a beer and wine package license at this location would further enhance the public convenience and meet the public need as we stop in to buy other products. We know Dan Costa will utilize the beer and wine license business with great care and concern for his neighbors and customers alike. We urge the Boston Licensing Board to grant the license request.
