Thirty days and counting

The Boston Police Department has noted that during the past 30 days, there were no major incidences in the North End.

This comes as good news during the extremely busy Christmas shopping season when the North End is crowded with thousands of tourists and residents.

As happy a time Christmas tends to be, it sometimes brings out the worst behavior in those having difficulties coping with the pressure placed upon them by the holiday.

If the past 30 days is an indication of what is to follow, then this holiday season, so far, is truly blessed.

Let’s hope for another 30 days free of serious crime.
