NE needs an indoor pool

To the Editor,

I read the Letter to the Editor from Donna Lubrano regarding the “new pool” for the North End.  I completely agree with everything she said.  The life guards won’t let you in unless you have signed up on the web site which is usually not working.   Most people only swim for 20 – 30 minutes leaving lanes open which could be used.  The three lifeguards just hang around and talk to each other.  We desperately need a year round indoor pool in the North End.  I currently use the Y in Charlestown but that will be closing in a few years.  I would much prefer to swim at the Mirabella and not go over the bridge which may never be finished.  I have been swimming at the Mirabella pool for over 40 years and the lack of lap swimming time is a disgrace.  If there is a group forming to make our voices heard, I would like to know about it.  Please keep up the letters and articles.
