The North End/Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA) at its October 10 meeting, held in the Nazzaro Community Center, held the election of officers, discussed the new City of Boston alcohol licenses, voted on liquor licenses requests and heard from Aaron Michlewitz, Chair of House Ways and Means Committee on state initiatives and programs.
A request by Giacomo’s Restaurant, 355 Hanover Street, Margia Corporation to the licensing Board to expand existing restaurant of 58 seats on two floors into adjacent space at 351 Hanover Street, adding approximately 28 seats (formerly Pomodoro’s Restaurant) was supported 19-4 by NEWRA.
No change in the midnight licensed closing hour.
Antico Forno, 93 Salem Street plans to apply to the Licensing Board for a new All Alcohol License to replace its existing Wine and Malt with Liqueurs License received support 23-0 by the neighborhood group.
NEWRA supported 22-0, plans by Terramia Ristorante, 98 Salem Street, for a new All Alcohol License to replace its existing Wine and Malt with Liqueurs License.
Officers elected: President Cheryl Delgreco, Vice President Jenn Crampton, Secretary Kirsten Hoffman, Treasurer Brendan Conway, Sergeant at Arms Gretchen Gallagher.
NEWRA’s next monthly meeting will be held on Thursday, November 14 at 6:30pm in the Nazzaro Community Center, 30 North Bennet Street.
