Problems at North End construction site warrant an investigation
Based on all the negative occurrences that have taken place at the construction site at 190-190A Salem Street and 4 Snelling Street in the North End, the City of Boston should open up an investigation to just set the record straight and what was done about the occurrences, actually documented by abutters.
Residents have also registered many complaints and concerns with 311, 911, ISD, police and local elected officials with no real response. Why?
• Abutters claim the job was allegedly started before permits were officially permitted.
• Two breachers of security allegedly happened on the same day that required police response with the arrest of a naked man found in a abutters home.
• Two emergency secondary emergency egress site at two residential areas were allegedly blocked by the developer and sited by Boston Fire Department. A dangerous situation to say the least.
• Allegedly working beyond the regulations, workers were on the job before and after the requirements allowed on weekdays, weekends and holidays.
• Allegedly tossing materials from a roof into an open truck and driven through the North End streets has been photographed by residents.
All the above certainly warrants a thorough investigation.
