Joseph “Joey Love” D’Elia

A Selfless Man Who Always Put Others Before Himself

Family and friends are invited to attend a Visitation in St. Leonard of Port Maurice Church, 320 Hanover St., Boston’s North End on Saturday, September 23, beginning at 11 a.m. for Joseph A. “Joey Love” D’Elia who passed away unexpectedly on September 17th at 53 years old. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 (Noon). Interment will be held privately at a later date.

The loving son of the late Ralph and Aurora (Capozzi) D’Elia, he was the cherished brother of Darlene D’Elia of Boston’s North End, Sharon Verrocchi and her companion, Joe and Ralph D’Elia and his wife, Tracy, all of Revere, Laurie D’Elia and her lifetime partner, Dominic of Boston’s North End and Michael D’Elia and his partner, Taylor of Boston’s North End; the adored uncle of Daniel D’Elia, Ralph, Aurora and Nicholas Verrocchi, Taylor and Jordan D’Elia, Elena D’Elia, David Carroll and Aurora Faye Keatley. He is also lovingly survived by his stepmother, Angela Guarino-D’Elia.

Joey loved spending time with his family. His nieces and nephews were everything to him and he wanted nothing more than for all of them to be successful. He was extremely proud of them. Joey was funny and had the best one-liners you could hear. He was a selfless man who always put others before himself.
