Under a bright and sunny day, at Puopolo Park thirty players (4 and 5-year-olds) began their Jr. RBI Baseball program hosted by the North End Athletic Association (NEAA).
Sponsored by the Boston Red Sox Foundation each player received a Red Sox hat and an RBI shirt.
The Red Sox also provided baseballs, bats and bases to the Instructional League that is run by Ralph and Janine Martignetti with assistance from several other volunteers.
“The NEAA and Red Sox have been partners for over 25 years,†Baseball Coordinator John Romano said. “We are extremely grateful for their continued support for the youth and families of our neighborhood.â€
