Congressman Lynch Speaker at NEWRA meeting

There will be no voting items on August 8, at North End/Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA) monthly meeting.

However, Congressman Steven Lynch will discuss his legislative agenda, climate change resiliency, infrastructure, healthcare and answer questions from attendees.

NEWRA announced that their annual party will be held in October, date to be announced.

The other community organization North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC) does not hold a meeting in August.

NSC Holds Scam Presentation

Robin Putman of the State’s Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulations advised participants at ABCD’s North End/West End Neighborhood Service Center about a variety of scams and identity thefts, and provided possible solutions.

In addition, MCPHS presented nearly three dozen seniors at the Center on medication and taking them safely.

Seniors also had the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a pharmacist from the MCPHS University Pharmacy Outreach Program.
