NEAD Family Fun Festival Offers Something for Everyone

North End Against Drugs (NEAD) and it Eversource Energy have put together a spectacular North End Family Fun Festival August 3 to August 9, with all events free to participants of all ages, according to NEAD President John Romano.

Among the many special activities, the Festival will include North End Family Pride Day August 4 at Columbus Park, 12 noon to 4 p.m. and National Night Out at the Paul Revere Mall (Prado), August 6, from 6 to 8 p.m.

“NEAD has worked extremely hard coordinating the community festival for everyone to enjoy and we hope that residents take advantage of everything offered during the Family Fun Festival,” Romano said.

Saturday, Aug. 3, 5:30 p.m.: La Festa Baseball Exchange – North End Dodgers vs North Adams, Mass. Allstars – Memorial Stadium East Boston.

Sunday, Aug. 4, 10:30 a.m.: La Festa Baseball Exchange Game #2: Location TBD Sunday, August 4, 12 Noon to 4 p.m.: North End Family Pride Day Christopher Columbus Park: Entertainment Schedule: 12 Noon Crosstown with Tony Savarino, 1 p.m. Street Magic, 2 p.m. Vynyl Groove, Face Painting, Arts and Crafts, Balloon Artist, Art Contest, Bocce Expo, and much more.

Sunday, Aug. 4, 8 p.m.: Movie in the Park: Friends of Christopher Columbus Park “The Greatest Showman.”

Monday, Aug. 5, 7 to 9 p.m.: Emily Pugliano/Bobby DeCristoforo Family Boat Cruise.

Tuesday, Aug. 6, 6 to 8:30 p.m.: National Night Out – Paul Revere Mall – Hanover St.

Free Pizza, DJ AMMO, Reptile Guy, Face Painting, Balloons, Arts and Crafts, Candle Ceremony at 8 p.m., Suffolk County Sherriff’s Office, Paul Revere House, NEMPAC Instrument Petting Zoo, NEW Health – In Plain Sight, Suffolk University, K-9 Show with Boston Police, Boston Host Lions Club and much more.

Wednesday, Aug 7, 6 p.m.: Boston Community Collaborative Movie Night at the Gassy.

Thursday, Aug. 8. 6 to 8 p.m.: Family Game Night on the Greenway.

Fun and games for all ages on the Rose Kennedy Greenway Hanover St/ North End Park.

Free Slush for all that attend.

Friday, Aug. 9, 11 a.m.: Puppet Show – Firendly fun-time with Newton and Pals.

North End Branch Public Library on Parmenter Street.
