District A-1 Police Relocated to North Street

Due to major renovations required, the temporary relocation of District A-1 Boston Police, 40 New Sudbury St., to 152 North St. in the North End has taken place.

Staff and equipment have been taken to the new site and there was no distribution to the number of officers or police services.

The new location at North Street will not be equipped with a booking area or cell blocks according to police.

“Male prisoners arrested in District A-1 and A-15 areas will be booked at District C-6 at 101 West Broadway with female prisoners being transported, booked and house at District D-1 located at 650

Harrison Ave. in the South End.

Renovations are expected to take one year and during that time, the district station at 40 New Sudbury Street will be vacant with the exception of construction crews.

” People should continue to utilize 911 to request assistance in an emergency,” stated police.

The main number at District A-1 will remain 617-343-4240.
