District A-1 Boston Police Respond and Assist Stabbing Victim

District A-1 Boston Police (which includes the North End/Waterfront) were quick to respond to an assault and eventually a stabbing incident (a week or so ago) involving to Boston EMTs and immediately provided medical assistance.

The incident occurred on a sidewalk a stone’s throw from the police station on New Chardon Street.

Upon arrival, police located a female EMT suffering from several stab wounds. A second male EMT was found behind an ambulance, apparently suffering from exposure to an undetermined chemical agent, according to the police report. Both victims were transported to local hospitals.

The male victim advised police that they had been attacked by a female suspect, later arrested, from East Boston identified as 31-year-old Julie Tejedo who was ordered to take a mental examination.

She was taken into custody without incident and charged with assault with intent to murder. Assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon and assault and battery on a public employee. What the final charge (s) will be has yet to be determined.

Many people have credited District A-1 Police for their quick response and potential lifesaving efforts.
