The Boston Parks Department has moved up the time for the planned renovation of the public space between the skating rink and the walkway to the Mirabella Pool.
The project and delay will allow the North End Athletic Association (NEAA) 4-12-year-old baseball programs to play in the North End instead of out-of-town parks.
After months of the NEAA planning the 2019 season on the road, things have changed due to the construction’s new starting date.
The NEAA will hold its baseball opening day on Sunday, April 28, at 10 a.m. at Langone Field and Puopolo Park. All baseball leagues will participate.
Official ceremonies will be held at 12 noon at Langone Field. Two Little League (Majors) games will be played.
