NEWNC Monthly Meeting

The next North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC) public monthly meeting will be held on Monday, February 11 at 7 PM at the Nazzaro Community Center.

NEWRA Monthly Meeting

The next North End/Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA) public monthly meeting will be held on Thursday, February 14 at 7 PM at the Nazzaro Community Center.

Public Safety Meeting

The next Boston Police/NEWRA Public Safety meeting will be held on Thursday, February 7 at 6 PM at the Nazzaro Community Center.

FOCCP Monthly Meeting

The next Friends of Christopher Columbus Park (FOCCP) monthly meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 12 at 6 PM at the Mariners House, 11 North Square.

Arts and Crafts

Arts and Crafts are held every other Thursday from 10 to 11 AM at the Villa Michelangelo. For more information call 617-523-8125.

In class, seniors use their muscles in their hands and arms and engage in planning and critical thinking, while being with the peers.

Past projects have included painting, flower design, centerpieces, collages and masks. Material for projects will be provided. For more info call 617-523-8125.

CityFeast Returns

Six North End restaurants will participate in CityFeast to benefit the Joslin Diabetes Center on Sunday, January 27 at 6 PM. For tickets visit www.joslin.org/cityfeast.

NEMPAC Valentine Concert Dinner

North End Music and Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) presents its annual ‘Amore’ Valentine Concert Dinner on Tuesday, February 12 at 7 PM at Lucia Ristorante on Hanover Street. For details call 617-227-2270 or visit www.nempacboston.org.

NEAD Bingo Night

Nineteen games (19) plus a coverall Bingo will be held by North End Against Drugs (NEAD) on Saturday, January 27, at 1 p.m. at the Nazzaro Community Center, 30 North Bennet Street.

Each game has a prize of $50 or more. Cover all has a prize valued at over $100. Free refreshments and door prize as well.

Doors open at 1pm, Bingo starts at 2 p.m. Cost: three cards for $25, additional cards $5.

In order to hold a spot, registration must be made in advance.

The annual NEAD benefit Bingo will be held during the bye week of the National Football League playoffs before the Super Bowl.

Tunnel of Love

The Columbus Park Trellis will be transformed into a Tunnel of Love during the month of February for the second year.

NSC Valentine’s Day Party

A Valentine’s Day Party will be held at the NE/WE/NSC on Friday, February 1 at 12:30 PM, 1 Michelangelo Street. Snow date: Friday, February 8. For more info call 617-523-8135.

North Bennet Street School Names New President

North Bennet Street School (NBSS) has named a new President, Sarah Turner.

She will continue the school’s 137-years of legacy of training students for careers traditional trades and fine crafts.

North Street Grille Neighborhood Night to Benefit Community

North Street Grille, 229 North Street will host “Neighborhood Night” on the first Thursday of each month from 5 to 9 p.m.

The owners will donate 30 percent of the proceeds to neighborhood organizations.

Feb. 7, donations will go to NEAD for its Annual Drug Awareness Day.

NEMPAC Offers Two Children’s Programs

North End Music and Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) is offering two programs, First Steps and Family Music Makers, for children ages 6 months to 3 years of age.
