Several Community Updates Presented at NEWNC Meeting

There were no voting items at the North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC) monthly meeting held at the Nazzaro Community Center.

However, there were several discussions including updates by Boston Groundwater Trust, the North End Nursing Home, and the interactive Pop-Up Museum at 226 Causeway Street.

Christian Simonelli, Executive Director of the Boston Groundwater Trust, that monitors Boston’s groundwater levels in the filled land areas of the City presented an update on their efforts and responded to questions.

An update on the status of the renovations of the North End Rehabilitation + Healthcare Center including the Nursing Home and other important information was presented by Michelle Jones, Community Liaison.

North End resident Robyn Reed and Artist-in-Residence for Save the Harbor/Save the Bay spoke about the interactive Pop-Up Museum at 226 Causeway Street and invited everyone and their families to visit the new attraction and attend an opening event at the space.

The next NEWNC monthly meeting will be held on Monday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m. at the Nazzaro Community Center.
