NEAD Hosts Johnny Paolo Bocce Tournament

One of the main attractions being held at the 2018 North End Against Drugs (NEAD) Family Pride Day is the popular and competitive annual Johnny Paolo Bocce Tournament held at the local courts on Commercial Street.

Registration for the fund-fill torment will be held at the courts on Saturday, September 15 starting at 12 noon.

Two or four-member teams will be put together following the registration, depending on how many players sign up.

Tournament cost is $5 per player and includes a free BBQ.

First, second and third place teams will be awarded trophies.

The tournament is played in memory of the North End resident Paolo who coordinated the tournament for number of years.

Many other enjoyable events, activities and live entertainment will take place at Pride Day.

“We (NEAD) would like to see a big turnout for this fun filled neighborhood event,” President John Romano said.
