Lecture: Little Italies: Past, Present, and Future – Wednesday September 19 – 6:00-7:00 p.m.
Jerome Krase has spent nearly fifty years visiting and photographing locations in America and abroad which have identifiable Italian neighborhoods. He discovered that these places share many visual characteristics and make similar claims about their cultural authenticity. In this presentation, we’ll take a look at the origins of these “little Italies†and what the future may hold for them. Presented in partnership with the North End Historical Society.
Workshop: Controlling Your Digital Footprint – Saturday September 22 – 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
Your digital privacy matters. Learn techniques to control the exposure of your location data and online behavioral data, how to avoid phishing and other scams, how to discover exposed personal data, and how to remove exposed personal data. We encourage you to bring your mobile smartphone device or tablet for this hands-on workshop.
Workshop will be led by Achutha Raman, a graduate of Yale and founder of 4PrivacyMatters, a cyberprivacy consultancy startup committed to raising awareness and stimulating inclusive discussions about privacy.

Carmine Vittoria discusses his book, “Bitter Chicory to Sweet Espresso: Survival and Deliverance from WW II in the Naples, Italy, Area 1940-49,†which relates events of WW II as witnessed by the author as a child.
