Paul Revere House Activities and Special Events

The Paul Revere House will celebrate some upcoming special events this April and May.

April 18 will mark the 243rd anniversary of Paul Revere’s Midnight Ride and the 110th anniversary of the opening of the Paul Revere House as a museum.

During the entire school vacation week, special events will honor both of these major events in history.

On May 10, the museum will commemorate the 200th anniversary of Paul Revere’s death. A ceremony is planned at his gravesite and local bells will ring in remembrance of the patriot.

This winter, the Paul Revere House events are intended to offer families a close, more personal view of life in 18th century Boston.

Visitors can try on clothes, play games and write with a quill pen in the Colonial Kids Corner, ask questions from an experienced guide during a Hands-on Tour and learn more about the book research and writing process from local author, Ben Edwards, who will hold a book signing on Saturday, March 31 from

1-3 p.m..

The recently re-released, beautifully illustrated, middle reader chapter book, “One April in Boston” contain special connection to the Revere family, research and writing process.

The author will present excerpts specifically related to local North End landmarks like the Revere House and the Old North Church.
