Library Improves Book Sale Area

By Phil Orlandella

Friends of the North End Library have updated and improved the library’s daily book sale program that was held on a book shelf at the front door where the books were in piles and difficult to review.

Due to the popularity of the book sale and demands for them, the Friends with assistance of Librarian Jennifer Hawes will added additional space for seals near the back of the library, to show more books, providing more leisure for book buyers.

In addition, a number of Friends volunteer each week to keep the books neat and organized by genre.

The Friends encourage the dropping-of extra books when purchasing a book.

Prices of books are still a bargain. Paperbacks are $1 each, five for $4. Hardcovers $2 each and three for $5. For details email info@friendsnelibrary.org or visit www.friendsnelibraty.org.
