New Year’s Eve Fireworks Returns to Boston Harbor

By Matt Conti

Get your party hats and noisemakers to ring in 2018 because New Year’s Eve fireworks are returning this year to Boston Harbor. The 40-year tradition is back with two, yes two, fireworks barges for a big show starting at midnight. With double barges, fireworks will be visible across Boston’s waterfront, including front row views from the North End, Seaport, South Boston, Downtown, Wharf District, Charlestown Navy Yard and East Boston.

The fireworks extravaganza is sponsored by Friends of Christopher Columbus Park, Boston Harbor Now, Wharf District Council and the City of Boston, Mayor Martin J. Walsh along with dozens of local businesses that contributed to bring back the harbor fireworks for New Year’s

Here’s the list of sponsors. NorthEndBoston.com is the major sponsor with the 2nd group donating $5,000 each and the third group under $5,000
