North End residents are being asked by Public Facilities about building a new or repairing the community center on North Bennet Street.
It appears, and is mainly agreed on, that the Nazzaro Community Center has outgrown its capacity and there is really no room to expand programs and activities or create new programs at the well-used community facility.
Residents seem to feel a new facility, with design input from the neighborhood, would be a great idea.
Based on information received by City Hall thus far, the choice if possible by residents, appears to be a brand-new center by leaps and bounds.
Residents have also expressed direct input right from the start for either scenario.
If the City can produce the necessary funding a new community center would be a great improvement to the neighborhood.
           The need is obviously there.
