The North End Music & Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) brings Bostonians and music-lovers to Boston’s Little Italy for much more than pasta and pastries! For their third consecutive year, NEMPAC collaborates the Eureka Musicians Ensemble and The Boston Landmarks Orchestra’s One City Choir to perform Handel’s Messiah Part I on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. Conductor, Kristo Kondakçi returns to the podium this year to also direct a special prelude piece being sung by the NEMPAC youth choir made up of students from the local North End Elementary schools, the St. John School and the Eliot K-8 Innovation School.
“Our community loves this concert and it’s become something to look forward to as we head into the holiday season,†said Sherri Snow, Executive Director of NEMPAC. “This Messiah performance is unlike any you will see in the City of Boston, bringing both professional and amateur singers and musicians together to create a meaningful, unforgettable experience for all.â€
“It is a thrill to be returning to the North End to bring the community together through this timeless masterpiece,†adds Kristo Kondakçi, Music Director of Eureka Ensemble and the Messiah concert. “NEMPAC is an impeccable organization that stands out in the community, as it excels in the many facets of both a musical and educational institution. Bring your family and friends and let’s celebrate the holiday season together!â€
