North End Music and Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) will present a concert, Boston Composers: Then and Now, at the private Gallery, Bijou de la Vida, 190 Commercial Street. Concert Director is Christina Wright-Ivanova.
Featured performers will be Rachele Schmiege, soprano; Shadwa Mussad, violin; Sherri Snow, soprano and Christina Wright-Ivanovo, pianist.
The concert is a celebration of the vibrant musical culture of the city and a tribute to the central role that NEMPAC has played in the North End and the greater Boston community.
Composers include: Leonard Bernstein, Horatio Parker, Amy Beach, Arthur Foote, Vartan Aghababian, Matthew Aucoin and Heather Gilligan.
           The concert is scheduled for Friday, October 27 at 7:30 PM with a wine reception at 6:30 PM. Tickets are $35 per person. For details call 617-227-2270.
