Greenway Conservancy Holds Scavenger Hunt

By Phil Orlandella

In a time when The Greenway is in the middle of a busy summer of over 400 free public programs, the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Park was recently the site of their second scavenger hunt contest and a chance to win over 75 prizes online and some hidden in conspicuous park locations.

Each day that the contest ran, The Greenway posted a number of interactive forms access on the F3 social media account. The prompts required some knowledge of The Greenway to answer trivia questions, speediness to reach physical locations or simply tagging friends to win packs of meal vouchers and tickets.

Winners were also rewarded with gift cards provided by selected food trucks that are part of The Greenway’s Mobile Eats program or tickets for the carousel, zip line or other local attractions.

The event also highlighted different features of the 17-acre Greenway while introducing the public to the unique collection of parks, gardens, public art installations, free events, food options and more.

“We were excited to bring back The Greenway Hunt for the second time,” said Jesse Brackenbury, Greenway Conservancy Executive Director. “It was a great opportunity for the Conservancy to say, Thank You to our visitors and also to raise awareness about our new additions to our park.”
