The extremely popular and well attended North End Against Drugs (NEAD) Family Pride Day held at Langone Park on Commercial Street is scheduled for Saturday, September 16 from 12 noon to 4:30 p.m.
NEAD has set up numerous events and activities for both young and older participants to do and/or enjoy.
The community event will feature a free BBQ, face painting, a petting zoo, balloon art, kid’s arts and crafts, RCN ice cream truck and several organization’s information tables, including the North End Waterfront Health, Museum of Science, MWRA, and Save the Harbor/Save the Bay and much more.
The annual Johnny Paolo Bocce Tournament will start at 5 PM. Registration is $5. Teams will be selected courtside.
Public Action for Arts and Education will sponsor a program for all ages from 12 noon to 2:45 PM. Prizes will be awarded.
Live performances by Crosstown (12 noon), Street Magic (1 PM), NEMPAC performances (2 PM), DJ Music (3 PM) will take place.
