The Ward 3 Democratic Committee has voted to endorse Stephen Passacantilli for the District One City Council race. The Committee voted 23 to 1 to endorse Passacantilli, a North End resident and member of the Ward 3 Democratic committee. District One encompasses East Boston, Charlestown and the North End.
The committee also voted 20 to 1 to endorse Michael Kelley for the District Two City Council race. District 2 encompasses the Waterfront, the South End, Downtown, South Boston, and Bay Village.
Eight candidates running for City Council in District One, District Two spoke to the committee prior to the endorsement vote. Committee members and residents were given the opportunity to ask the candidates questions and voice their concerns about the community.
Candidates for Mayor and City Council At-Large seats will be invited to present to the committee in the Fall.
In addition to the Ward 3 endorsement, State Representative Aaron Michlewitz has endorsed Stephen Passacantilli for District 1 City Councilor.
