Greenway News and Notes

The Greenway Conservancy reached a landmark new agreement with MassDOT, the City of Boston and A Better City (on behalf of over 20 Greenway-abutting private properties) to establish a public-private partnership to financially support The Greenway well into the future.

This includes a new 10-year lease from MassDOT for the non-profit organization to manage the parks and provide critical resources to ensure continued success.

The water is now running at the park’s award-winning fountains providing splashes and a range of experience for all ages to enjoy the water features.

Refresh yourself at one of the park’s free fitness classes before heading home from work. The summer fitness sessions are designed to help participants of all skill levels achieve their best results.

The Greenway’s recent block party at Dewey Square held every Thursday, 5-8 PM drew a large crowd. The party features live music, cold beer and lawn games. Must be 21+.

Figment returns to The Greenway on July 22-23 for a participatory arts festival. Many interactive art installations celebrating creativity and performance.
