Boston Police District A-1 provided an update on recent neighborhood crime incidents, summarized below, at the February 2017 North End Public Safety Meeting. The figures below cover the last 30 days period.
Robberies (1)
-Sat. 1/21/17 @ 1.30am @ 357 Commercial St.: Woman was standing outside a building, smoking a cigarette. Â Man approached her and asked for both her keys and cell phone. Â He grabbed her phone, then she grabbed it back from him, at which point he fled.
B&E-Residence (1)
-23 Charter St.: After being out / gone all day, victim returned to their apartment, which was in disarray. Â Door was likely jimmied open.
Some unspecified property was stolen.
B&E-Commercial (1)
-Sat. 1/14/17 @ 11.50pm @ 178 Salem St. (Caffe Lil Italy): Suspect broke in for the 2nd time. Â Broke the window on the door and stole from behind the counter. Â Detectives are investigating.
Larcenies (2)
-75 Fulton St.: 2 storage units were broken into.
Larcenies from a MV (3)
-Pilgrim Parking Lot: $900 camera was stolen.
-16 Charter St. (Eliot School parking lot): Gas cap and front headlight stolen.
-200 Commercial St.: Wallet was taken from car that had pulled up, with engine running and doors unlocked.
Arrest (1)
-1/28/17 @ 11.15am @ Stillman St., Cutillo Park: Officers on a Code 19 (an assignment to check out a reported troublesome “hot spotâ€) found a male suspect that was loitering. Officers checked the suspect’s record and arrested him on a warrant out of Worcester court for receiving stolen goods.
