Boston Public Market to Host “Sip & Shop” Evenings

The Boston Public Market has begun hosting “Sip & Shop,” a twice-a-week opportunity for customers to enjoy beverages as they shop or dine throughout the city’s local food market. “Sip & Shop” continues every Thursday and Friday evening from 5:00-7:30pm through the end of March.

The Boston Public Market’s beer and wine vendors are teaming up to showcase their local beverages at a pop-up bar located inside the Market’s main entrance at Hanover and Congress Streets. Craft beer aggregator Hopsters Alley will highlight New England IPAs with Newtonian and Comet Citra beers, handcrafted at their Newton, MA brewery. The Massachusetts Wine Shop will pour a rotating selection of red, white, and rosé wines sourced from winemakers across the Commonwealth.

Customers ages 21+ will be invited to savor these local libations as they peruse the Market’s 40 vendor stalls, dine in the Hub, or find seasonal dinner ingredients for the week.

“We have always been interested in offering visitors the unique opportunity to enjoy New England craft beer and wine as they shop year-round,” said Cheryl Cronin, CEO of the Boston Public Market. “This series gives us a chance to test the waters and customer interest while adding a fun, new component to grocery shopping and Market exploring this winter.”
