About 140 turkeys were distributed to North End and West End families by the North End/West End Neighborhood Service Center for the Thanksgiving season.
Senator Joe Boncore, Representative Aaron Michlewitz, and Councilors Sal LaMattina and Jack Zakim donated turkey gift cards and holiday baskets.
Other sponsors were: LaFamiglia Giorgio’s (30 turkeys), Church on the Hill (30 turkeys), Antonio’s (35 turkeys) and Greg Antonelli, President and Caryn Antonelli of GTA Company, Inc. (30 turkeys).
Additional contributions for turkeys and holiday meals at the Center came from Robin Sidell of North Street Grill, Dan Connolly, and Teddy Schiela.
These donations made it possible for many families to enjoy a turkey dinner with all the trimmings.
           Most of the Center’s ESOL students prepare the traditional dinner for the first time.
