RUFF October Newsletter

RUFF had a very exciting September accepting a national grant for the new dog park from PetSafe! We are so thankful to all who came out to support us.

Our biggest thanks to PetSafe Brands for coming to Boston to present RUFF with the Bark for Your Park $25,000 award. The night brought out members, friends, City officials and dog lovers. North End Dog Park Updates:

Next Park Phase: The fall will set up the winter planning process.

RUFF should have an timeline for the park in the coming months.

Auto Locks – Please note that the park hours are 6:30am-9pm. Before or after those hours the gates will be locked. If you encounter any issues in the park please email: INFO@RUFFBoston.org

Water: Please continue to bring water to the park for the pups. The water should stay on for the next few months.

October Dates:

October 18th – 7pm – RUFF Meeting, Nazzaro Center – Park planning schedule and winter preparation.

October 23rd – Crate Escape 5K to benefit Canine Cancer – 10AM- Belmont – A cause that is close to many in the RUFF community. Join Crate Escape for a fun 5K and after party – Sign up here: https://racewire.com/register.php?id=7012

October 23rd – 6th Annual Canine Promenade – 12pm, Esplanade – A The Promenade is a 1/2 mile Halloween costume parade in the Esplanade. Lots of gifts and entertainment. To sign up click here: https://interland3.donorperfect.net/weblink/weblink.aspx?name=E11852&id=48

October 26/27th – Morning Power wash – On the power wash morning, please respect the cleaning crew in the park by not using the park while they are cleaning. ** We want all RUFF members to be better members of the dog community. Please clean up and hold others responsible.

October 27th- RUFF Annual Doggie Trick-or-Treat!- 6:30pm, Meet at the Richmond Street Dog Run – Dress your pup up for Halloween and have some fun getting doggie treats throughout the neighborhood. Always such a fun evening for the dogs and neighbors. Stay tuned for participating locations. After trick-or-treat join RUFF for some human treats at Rocco’s.

October 29th – RUFF & Hordon Health work out – 10am – Prince Street Dog Park – Join RUFF and Hordon Health for a human only, high energy work out. Hordon Health trainers have designed a special course for RUFF. Stay tuned for details and evite. In the mean time check out what Hordon Health is all about: http://www.hordonhealth.com/default.html
