NEAD Family Fun Festival Rescheduled

By Phil Orlandella

Bad weather forced North End Against Drugs (NEAD) to cancel its Family Fun Festival that attracts over 200 people each year to participate in the very popular community event held annually.

That’s the bad news. The good news is that the NEAD sponsored event has been rescheduled for Saturday, September 17 from 12 noon to 4pm at Langone Field and Bocce Court area on Commercial Street.

The event will feature a bocce tournament, entertainment, face painting, a free BBQ, arts and crafts, balloon art and a raffle to benefit NEAD.

NEAD President John Romano noted the event is free to all North End/Waterfront residents, the Nazzaro Center members and friends and families of the non-profit organization.
