North End/Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA) President Ford Cavallari and member Janet Gilardi presented the Association’s Good Neighbor Award to North Bennet Street School (NBSS).
The award recognizes, businesses or agencies that help keep the community clean and beautiful by removing debris from in front of their home or place of business.
“The school was proud to be recognized for their continuous efforts in keeping the neighborhood clean,†Gilardi said. “NBSS has been a part of the North End community for 135 years and is well deserving of the special award.â€
NBSS President Miguel Gomez-Ibanez said, “Our staff is out there every morning making sure that our little part of the neighborhood reflects our pride in the North End.â€
He noted, “On behalf of Ronald Santos (building staff) and our entire school,†he thanked, “NEWRA for the distinction.â€
