by Phil Orlandella

Lorraine Renda LaColla of Cooper Street was recently named recipient of the North End/Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA) Good Neighbor Award for her efforts in helping to keep the community clean by removing debris from in front of her home on a regular basis.

“She takes care of her corner of the world like it was gold,” NEWRA member Janet Gilardi said. “Lorraine can always be seen with a broom on Cooper Street helping to keep the neighborhood clean. She really cares about the community.”
