Three North End Eateries Granted Full Liquor Licenses

Three North End restaurants represented by Attorney William Ferullo have been awarded full liquor licenses by the Licensing Board for the City of Boston.

About a month or so ago, the City of Boston announced the availability of ten new full liquor licenses with many North End eateries applying for.

Cantina Italiana, 346 Hanover Street, Trattoria di Monica, 67 Salem Street and Mare Mare Oyster Bar, 3 Mechanic Street were granted licenses.

Those not receiving licenses were Carmelion’s, 367 Hanover Street, Strega Ristorante, 379 Hanover Street, Antico Forno, 93 Salem Street, Ducali Pizzeria, 289 Causeway Street, Circle Pizza, Hanover Street.

The North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC) supported the requests that went before them at a monthly meeting and the City of Boston Neighborhood Services Department held an abutters public hearing on the licensing requests at which there were no objections to any of the applicant’s proposals.

All of the eateries selected made it public that their operations, description or change of hours were not included in their applications.

Any or all businesses that did not receive licenses can reapply when licenses become available.

In addition, the Board deferred a request by Scopa LLC, Scopa, 319 Hanover Street  seeking a Common Victualler seven day wine and malt with liqueurs license. Seating capacity 22, closing our midnight, manager Gennaro Riccio.
