Congratulations to the North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC), the only community elected board, that will celebrate its 30th anniversary on Tuesday, October 6.
The all volunteer organization has been committed to serve the neighborhood by addressing issues, concerns and requests that directly impact the community by acting as an advisory board to the City of Boston.
Taking on this task is not easy. Trying to preserve the community from over development while continuing to not impede progress is as tough as it gets.
NEWNC has been up to the challenge for 30 years and should be commended for their efforts.
