NEMPAC forming Band of Volunteers

A non-profit, community-based organization, North End Music and Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) is forming a “Band of Volunteers” program to assist with the many programs, events and activities they present each year.

NEMPAC is also seeking volunteer ideas and areas of interest from the core team that will be the foundation for creating and enhancing the success of all the groups events through volunteer contributions.

Volunteers combined talents and efforts will continue to build NEMPAC’s relationships in the community and influence the lives of so many through arts programming.

NEMPAC, a dedicated and professional neighborhood group, could use some assistance with the many programs they coordinate throughout the year.

Give something back to the community… Volunteer some time to this proven community organization.

NEAD continues to get the job done

North End Against Drugs (NEAD) held its first of three Family Dinner/Family Talks neighborhood events with over 100 people filling the Nazzaro Center Hall.

The special activity featured good food, a raffle and a guest speaker James E. Gillooly, Boston Transportation Department Interim Commission.

NEAD, a non-profit organization continues to provide quality events and activities each year for the community to enjoy and learn about the dangers of drugs and alcohol abuse.

Holiday Luncheon benefits needy families and seniors

There is still time to make plans to attend the North End Christmas Luncheon that will benefit needy North End families and senior citizens during the holiday season.

The special event will be held on Thursday, December 11 at 12 noon at Filippo’s Ristorante Ballroom on Causeway Street.

Attending the luncheon (donation $20) is a great way to get into the holiday spirit and helping out your neighbors and friends have a better holiday.

Tickets are available at the North End/Waterfront Health Center and the Nazzaro Community Center.

Don’t miss North End Christmas Parade

North End families and friends should plan to participate in the North End Athletic Association’s (NEAA) North End 44th annual Christmas Parade being held on Sunday, December 14 starting at 1pm at Puopolo Park, Commercial Street with the arrival of Santa Claus by helicopter.

The seasonal event has become a tradition as it spreads the holiday spirit throughout the community with a parade led by Santa Claus along with clowns and marching bands.

The parade has always been a huge success attracting hundreds of participants.

                Don’t Miss It!
