North End Christmas Parade December 14

One of the best, if not the best, North End holiday activity is the North End Athletic Association (NEAA) annual North End Christmas Parade through the streets of the community.

The event begins with the arrival of Santa Claus by helicopter at Puopolo Park, Commercial Street at 1pm where many local families and visitors show up to meet the jolly old Gent from the North Pole and participate in the fun filled parade that spreads the holiday spirit throughout the neighborhood.

Santa will lead the parade joined by marching bands, clowns, TV characters, hayrides, free balloons and will candy be handed out.

The holiday event is run in conjunction with the Nazzaro Community Center(NCC), North End Against Drugs (NEAD) and The Mayor’s Office of Arts, Tourism and Special Events.

Several elected officials are also expected to attend this very popular holiday activity.

In case of bad weather, the parade will be held on the next Sunday, December 21.

The parade is dedicated in memory of James “Jimmy” Pallatta.
