Eliot School Seeks Extended Learning Time Funds

Funding for the extended learning time is being sought by the Eliot K-8 Innovation School which will add one hour to the school’s day to help every student focus on core academics.

The program also allows students to meet in small groups with their teachers as well as time for other activities with school specialists and community partners.

Students will receive the individualized academic support they need to succeed, while having more time for art, theater, Italian, technology, physical education and a variety of other activities.

Apparently families with children in the school as well as the faculty of Eliot School support the extended learning time program.

School representatives have contacted residents and neighborhood groups regarding obtaining funds and implementing the additional hour to the school’s day.

The new additional hour is about time to help every child succeed academically, socially and emotionally.

While the Eliot School continues to grow, students and teachers are working hard, resulting in many successes in the classroom every day.

North End residents have requested more classrooms so that the school can reach more neighbors and serve more of the community each year. They have achieved that goal.
