Josephine Naples

Lifelong Resident of Boston’s North End

Josephine C. (Cesario) Naples, a lifelong resident of Boston’s North End, died after a short illness at Epoch Nursing Center of Melrose on November 6. She was 84 years old.

Mrs. Naples, who was born, raised and lived in the North End for her entire life, was a devoted wife and mother, caring for her family and keeping an impeccable and meticulous home.

She was the wife of the late William A. “Sonny” Naples who passed on May 26, 2006; the dear mother of Lucille A. Capone and her husband, Patrick of Dover, NH, Rose N. Rago and her husband, Nicholas of Hampton, NH, Jody A. Lukas-Peck and her husband, Charles of Malden and William C. Naples of South Boston;  the beloved grandmother of Patrick K. Capone and his wife, Rebecca of Stratham, NH, Nicholas W. Rago and his wife, Amanda of York, Maine, Jana N. and Lea N. Rago, both of Hampton, NH and Shane P. Lukas of Malden. She is also lovingly survived by four great-grandchildren: Isabella, Gianna, Nicolas and Kendall and by many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, Revere. A Graveside Funeral Service was held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the St. Jude Childrens’ Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908. For additional information: www.vertuccioandsmith.com
