A request by Margot Seligman to change the legal occupancy at 422-424 Hanover Street from four residential apartments and store to five residential apartments and to expand the proposed first floor unit’s living space into the basement. Members voted 9-0 to support. The owner was represented by North End Attorney Daniel Toscano.
By a vote of 10-0 NEWNC voted to support a request by Thomas Falcucci to change the legal occupancy at 37 Charter Street from 9 to 10 units.
Nancy Frattaroli, owner of Artu Restaurant, 6 Prince Street, received NEWNC support (10-0) to extend the business entertainment license from 1 to 2am. She was represented by North End Attorney William Ferullo.
NEWNC by 10-0 vote approved a request by Frank DePasquale, who purchased Ida’s Restaurant including the residential building, to add cordials to the existing beer and wine license as well as expanding the restaurant service to a proposed 48 seat seasonal outdoor dining patio. While the restaurant closing hour will remain at 12am, the patio closing hour will be 11pm.
Eliot School Innovation School Manager, Development and External Relations Julia Mayer presented a progress report noting the school has grown from 270 to 400 students. She said, “A Friends of the Eliot School group has been formed and that a survey of parents indicated the need for new books.â€
