Three North End Requests Have Hearing Dates

Nancy Frattaroli, manager of Artu located at 6 Prince Street, has applied to the Mayor’s Office of Consumer Affairs and Licensing to extend the hour of operation on the eatery’s entertainment license that allows for a cassette player, radio, television and widescreen television from 1am-2am.

“The business has a 2am closing license,” according to Attorney William Ferullo. “The request will be brought before the two neighborhood groups for their support.”

A public hearing on this matter will be held on Monday, October 28 at 10am at Boston City Hall, Room 801. Anyone wishing to speak on the request is invited to attend the hearing.

Two other requests relating to the North End will be funneled through the proper channels according to Attorney Ferullo.

Il Villaggio, Khaled Moheydeen is applying to add cordials to his beer and wine license. He is also changing the name of his business to “Trevi” and changing the menu, still Italian.

His hearing with the Licensing Board for the City of Boston is Wednesday, October 30. This request will also be placed on the two community groups agenda according to Attorney Ferullo.

The Wild Duck is about to lease the basement space of the store’s location on Salem Street for additional storage. There will be no changes to the current business.

A hearing date will be held with the Licensing Board for the City of Boston on Monday, October 30.

“The neighborhood groups will be notified of the additional space application,” according to Attorney Ferullo.
