Charles Micciche

Retired Letter Carrier of Middleton,

formerly of the North End

Charles Micciche of Middleton, formerly of Boston’s North End, died on October 2. He was 92 years old.

Charles was a US Army veteran of World War II and a Sergeant in the 94th Fighter Control Squadron. He received the American Theater Ribbon and the Victory Medal. A letter carrier for the US Postal Service, he retired in 1992 after many years of service. Charles was an avid fan of horse racing and enjoyed visiting Suffolk Downs.

He was born and raised in Boston’s North End and moved to Middleton in 1965.

He was the son of the late Michael and Josephine Micciche; beloved husband of the late Mary (Cobuccio); devoted father of Marie Sweazey of Middleton and Jeanne Diorio and her husband, Robert of Revere; loving grandfather of Jeanne Sweazey of Middleton, Rachel Diroio and Andrea Diorio, both of Revere, Kenneth White and the late Christopher Sweazey; dear brother of Lena Tammaro of Waltham and John Micciche of Holbrook. He is also survived by six loving great-grandchildren.

His Funeral will be held from Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere St, Revere today, Tuesday, October 8 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony’s Church at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Bartolomew Papa

Of Boston’s North End

Bartolomew T. Papa of Boston’s North End died on October 2.

A US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was the beloved husband of Annette Sutera Papa of Boston’s North End; devoted father of Patricia “Pattie” Papa, Vincent Federico and Joyce Papa Amoroso and Ralph Amoroso, of Boston’s North End; dear brother of Anthony Pappa of Wakefield and the late Thomas Papa, Mary Colella and Lena Adams; devoted and cherished grandfather of Justin and Jordyn Amoroso and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass in celebration of Mr. Papa’s life was held in the Sacred Heart Church, North Square, Boston’s North End. Committal services were private. In lieu of flowers and in honoring Mr. Papa, memorial donations may be made to the Cam Neely Foundation, 30 Winter St., 2nd Floor, Boston 02108.
