Bingo Fundraiser Held for North End Bomb Victim

It was an overflow BINGO crowd for the fundraiser at the Nazzaro Community Center.

North End Strong Bingo Fundraiser was hosted by the Nazzaro Community Center raising money to help Roseann Sdoia, a North End resident, defray the cost of her medical bills.

Roseann was severely injured, losing her leg, during the Boston Marathon bombings. She also suffered other injuries. She has already undergone several surgeries with more to follow. It appears it will be a long journey back to recovery both physically and emotionally.

The event attracted many Bingo players that wanted to help with this most worthy cause. “We are trying to raise funds for Roseann to cover her medical costs,” said Alissa Passacantilli Tizzano, one of the many people that organized the fundraiser.

Besides Alissa, Roseann Matarazzo, Sabrina DelloRusso, Carla Ascione and Debbie Lil Muse put together the benefit Bingo in conjunction with the Center.

About two weeks before the Bingo event, the children of the Nazzaro Community Center had a raffle and bake sale to benefit Roseann.

Contributions can be made to the Roseann Sdoia Recovery Fund by visiting www.gofundme.com/roseann.
