Senator Petruccelli Named Committee Chair

Senator Anthony Petruccelli, whose district includes the North End, has been named by Senate President Therese Murray as Chair of the Joint Committee on Financial Services.

Aside from the Ways and Means Committee, this is the second most important committee in the Senate.

It appears the Senator is moving his way up the Senate ladder and his status is moving in the right direction.

Senator Petruccelli has continuously made it his business to take on local issues and endeavors relating to the North End.

He is credited with spearheading Representative Aaron Michlewitz’s Green Ticket Bill passage in the Senate. He was in the front row with removing hazmat vehicles from passing through the neighborhood.

His involvement with MassDOT in supporting Boston City Councilor Sal LaMattina’s ordinance to correct the public safety issues on Cross Street was instrumental.

Senator Petruccelli continues to support local organization events and activities. His chairmanship appointment is well deserved.
