Public Safety Meeting Jan. 3

Boston Police, District A-1 will hold its monthly North End Public Safety meeting this coming Thursday, January 3 at 6:30pm in the Nazzaro Community Center, 30 North Bennet Street.

Police will present crime statistics for the past thirty days and a yearly comparison as well.

Boston Police Captain Thomas Lee, Commanding Officer of District A-1, Sergeant Tom Lema and Officer Ted Boyle are expected to attend the neighborhood meeting that usually attracts many residents.

Police are also expected to answer questions, provide additional information, listen to requests and offer tips to help prevent crimes.

Thus far, crime statistics have basically been down in the neighborhood with some increase in the breaking and entering category.

Reportedly, the homeless situation is under control at Columbus Park and the Greenway, and loud noise parties have not been a major issue.

As usual all residents and the business community are welcome to attend and be a part of the meeting.
