Of Malden, formerly of the North End

Rocco Federico of Malden, formerly of Boston’s North End, died on December 18.

He was the beloved husband of Carolina (Corsi); devoted father of Angelo Federico and his wife, Tricia of Stoneham and Margherita Federico and her husband, Sergio of Malden; loving grandfather of Rocco, Carolina, Alessia, Eva and Dante and dear brother of the late Giuseppe Federico.

Stefana Tavilla

Of the North End

Stefana M.Tavilla of Boston’s North End passed away on December 17 surrounded by her loving family. She was 87 years old.

She was the daughter of the late Antonio and Anna (Spadaro) Tavilla; loving sister of Mary Tavilla of Boston, Ann Lynch of Revere, Josephine Carpenito and her late husband, John of Burlington and Anthony Tavilla of Boston. She also leaves many dear nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Evelina (Merlino) DiRado of Medford, formerly of Boston’s North End, died on December 15.

She was the beloved wife of the late Attilio DiRado; cherished sister of Giovanni Merlino and his wife, Caterina of Winchester, Florenza DiNenno of Argentina and the late Ettore Merlino; loving aunt of Roberto Merlino and his wife, Mary Theresa of Tewksbury, Attilio Merlino and his wife, Irene of Hudson, NH, Mariella Petrowski and her husband, Gary of Tewksbury; loving great aunt of John, Andrew and Marie Merlino, Nancy and Danielle Merlino, Michael and Lisa Petrowski.
