Boys and girls ages 9-11 North End Athletic Association Soccer Teams recently ventured to the South End to compete against teams from that neighborhood.
“This is the second time these two neighborhoods have gotten together to played a few games,” NEAA Soccer Director John Romano said.
While the North End boys team lost 6-0 the girls managed a 2-0 victory.
The weather was awesome, the all turf field was fantastic and the players had a wonderful, time,” Romano said.
Usually the two teams play a home and home series, however the North End game was rained out this year.
“It was a great experience for everyone,” Romano noted. ” NEAA is hoping that next year a full weekend type tournament will be held.”
