The Patriots and the Red Sox

For a few minutes Sunday afternoon, it appeared as though the Patriots were going to tank the way the Red Sox have managed to lose 90 games this year.

The Red Sox started off as potential champions only to end up at the bottom of the standings in nearly every way.

The Pats, who also began as potential champions won their opener and then dropped two in a row. Sunday’s victory came after one of the poorest first half ever played by the Pats and things looked exceptionally grim until the Pats overcame Buffalo convincingly in the second half.

Just about everything is looking a bit shaky for our coveted sports teams this year.
